Responsible for settling a new plant in KSA for products as per customer specifications. Handling activities related to the transfer of technology from the the main plant in Malaysia and the quality certifications along with customer approvals.

Looking after development of the local manufacturing facilities and undertaking activities related to laying out flow line as per international standards to deliver highest productivity.

Additionally, executed projects with utilities in KSA like SEC, Aramco, processing plants like Maaden and Sea Water Desalination plants.

Set up a 15 KV, 40 KA- MV Panel factory with efficient flow line, use of jigs and fixtures, Kanban, inventory control, BOM accuracy and lean line manufacturing.

Established a new product line in Malaysia in first six months of joining.

Developed product line and quality processes for new product line — 40 KA Air Insulated Switchgear.

GENERAL MANAGER

HS Switchgear

Set up in collaboration with Hawker Siddeley Switchgear

Monitored products produced in Dubai— eclipse range of switchgear rating 11 KV, bus bar rating 1250 AMPS, STC- 25 KA for 3 secs sourcing all plant and equipment, implementing ERP system for efficient manufacturing operations through Quality Management Systems (QMS). 

Tested prototypes in the presence of ADWEA witnesses as per IEC 62271-100 and IEC 62271-200. 

Conducted various tests on prototypes —  

Short time current with rated peak current of 25 KA for 1 and 3 secs,

Making a breaking test under short circuit resistance,

Dielectric tests including power frequency, BIL lightning impulse, partial discharge, temperature rise,

Measurement of resistance on main circuit and capacitive current switching,

Operational and mechanical tests internal arc- 25 KA, 1 sec and AFLR.

PRODUCTION & BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER

Spearheaded team of more than 200 employees; implementing design and manufacturing methodology, executing assemply flow setting SMART objectives, contract review, forecasting and MIS reports line— tripling through production rate, project execution and customer relations.

Drove down costs by continuous improvement of process and material flow while maintaining high standards of quality to obtain ISO certification.

Imparted training to personnel for manufacturing of product and headed UAE Blue Collars associates through the health system, serving as a troubleshooter for health relates issues.

Executed projects with utilities like DEWA, SEWA, ADDC  and ADWEA and other utilities in GCC, UK and Southeast Asia.

Set up 3 divisions — Oil RMU, LV Panels, Overheard HV Disconnector.

Projected, justified, executed purchase of 4 Laser TRUMPH Machine Centers, 3 CNC Bending Machines, CMC Copper Cutting and Bending Machines.

Managed CNC fabrication machinery activities and flexible assembly line for producing different Trident variety 15.5 KV ring main units and major green filed projects.

Augmented sales revenue by 25% in an annual basis.
